Los Luddites are career firefighters in Louisville KY. Although the
events of September 2001 affected the whole world, they affected the
brotherhood of the fire service especially hard. The Ballad of Jimmy
Fahey is an original heartfelt song of hope and admiration for the
firefighters of New York and their families.
The Ludds were honored with an
invitation to play the Ballad of Jimmy Fahey at the
opening ceremonies of the Fire Department Instructor's Conference
(FDIC) in April 2002. The Ludds thank Christine King, Bill Manning and
the staff of FDIC for that opportunity and dedicate this five song CD
to the firefighters of FDNY.
The CD is available for six bucks
including shipping, until they are no longer available. Then they
will be available again a short time later, unless they are not. We
are not trying to make money or become famous, as we are too set in
our ways for either. We just want to share our songs of
