Los Luddites perform a mix of acoustic music from
traditional folk and original compositions to covers of such artists as the Delmore
Brothers, Gillian Welch, Mark Knopfler, Steve Earle and the Rolling Stones. The
highest praise ever bestowed upon the Ludds was given by an inebriated sound engineer
when, after a long evening, he approached the band and said: "I've been doing sound
for over twenty years and you guys are not terribly annoying." The Ludds have
been trying to live up to that ever since.
Los Luddites have a regular
gig at a great little cafe in Milltown, Indiana. The Blue River Cafe has great food, wonderful people
and they let us play there. It is our home court. The Ludds can also be found at
various Louisville haunts including the Kenny Pyle's Rudyard Kipling and Clifton's
Pizza. The Ludds sincerely thank
Mark Woods of the BRC, Kenny Pyle of the Rud, Mark of Cliftons and their staffs for their friendship and
support.
